With an Urban Music Award under his belt, having his last visual nominated for a Silver Screen Nation Film and TV Award, and still on a high from last year’s MOBO nomination, Mista Silva continues to fly the flag for progressive Africa and the African diaspora. Mista Silva is one of the true underground pioneers. Quite simply, the massive success of the Ghanaian dance craze “Azonto” in the charts with acts like Fuse ODG and D'banj wouldn't have been possible without the influence of Mista Silva. His own significant cult success with tracks like “Boom Boom Tah” helped to form the original UK Afrobeats scene, straight from Brockley/Peckham in 2012. In 2015, The Guardian described Mista Silva as an African Fashionista likely to own 2015. Now with a foot in the fashion game, walking at LFW 2014 for Uber-hype label Ashish, Mista Silva continues to dominate the airwaves with the release of his 2015 EP Let It Off.
