Afro B (Ross Bayeto), is a UK based Afrobeats independent recording artist from South London, Greenwich. Afro B has helped to push the African music culture forward with the popularity of his music which continues to surge in global dominance.

Starting his musical journey in 2009 with a DJ residency at a Caribbean club called NW10, the Londoner has since moved into producing hit music, highlighting his talents as one of the industry’s most exciting curators around. Afro B has enjoyed a meteoric rise, channeling UK, African, and French influences - on account of his Ivorian heritage. The South Londoner, who is also one of Capital Xtra’s presenters, spreading the sound of Africa on a weekly basis on his show Afrobeats with Afro B and is also heavily supported by the likes of Tim Westwood (Capital Xtra), Funkmaster Flex (Hot 97), DJ Target (BBC Radio 1/1Xtra), Ebro (Beats 1/Hot 97), DJ Norie (Power 105), DJ Whoo Kid (Shade 45/Siriux FM/iHeartRadio), DJ Self (Power 105), DJ Camilo (Hot 97), Nessa (Hot 97) and Dahved Levy (WBLS) just to name a few helping him become one of the industry’s most respected and internationally known talents.

In February 2018 Afro B set the internet on fire with his viral hit Drogba (Joanna) which has continued to spread from country to country and to date has now racked up over 100 million streams/views across all platforms with help from his viral dance craze the #DrogbaChallenge. Wizkid, Shaquille O’Neal, Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, Ace Hood and Busy Signal have all released remixes to the track which have led to further mass appeal. Drogba reached #1 as the most Shazamed song in New York and sat at #6 on Billboard’s Next Big Sound Chart. Celebrities including; Diddy, Akon, Trey Songz, DJ Snake, Winnie Harlow, Eniko Hart, Ashanti, Hennessey Carolina, MHD and Didier Drogba himself have all recently made viral Instagram videos promoting the hit song plus many other public figures and dancers.

Drogba (Joanna) isn’t the only song killing the airwaves, as his other projects currently in rotation gaining international attention include: Shaku Shaku, Melanin feat. Yemi Alade, and Shape Nice with Vybz Kartel & Dre Skull.

His mainstream Afrobeats takeover which he has pioneered as the “AfroWave” movement has garnered this new artist favorable media attention which includes press features and placements in: The Source Magazine, Vibe Magazine, BET, NBC News, Hot 97, Siriux FM, Power 105, 1Xtra, Okay Africa, The National, Noisey, TIDAL, Billboard, The Fader and Rolling Stone.

Afro B has performed his hit records at some of the world’s biggest festivals and concerts in The Middle East, The Caribbean, USA, Canada, Europe and most recently in London where he was a surprise performer brought out at Drake’s concert inside the O2 Arena in front of 20,000 fans during the Assassination Vacation UK/EU Tour.
