Bob Vylan

The wryly named pairing of vocalist/instrumentalist Bobby Vylan and drummer Bobbie Vylan, English duo Bob Vylan attack societal ills with a raw fusion of punk and U.K. rap styles. Formed in the late 2010s, the duo debuted with 2017 EP Vylan, forming a potent early sound around jagged guitar lines and hazy takes on the U.K. trap scene. Over their three studio LPs, Dread, We Live Here, and The Price of Life (2022), the pair delivered abrasive combinations of rap and rock stylings, rallying against xenophobia, class disparity, government oppression, and right-wing ideology.
