Meekz

Masked rapper Meekz’s music is powered by an unshakable self-assuredness that permeates each release. His name, face, and other personal details largely remain a mystery, but the Manchester artist’s vivid bars and gravelly voice reveal much about him and his journey. Growing up, his experiences were colored by a harsh environment, leading to stints in jail. In 2018, after losing two close friends, Meekz made the decision that he would channel his emotions and express his vexations through music. The following year, he released the brooding single “Hoods Hottest,” an illuminating track that directly addressed the path to his come-up. In 2020, Meekz released his debut EP, Can’t Stop Won’t Stop, highlighted by “Like Me,” which saw the MC diving further into the circumstances that have affected and inspired him. Staunchly determined to make it in the industry, Meekz released “More Money” in 2021, a candidly ambitious song imbued with his personalized, streetwise sensibility.
