Pooh Shiesty

"Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty enjoyed a breakout 2020, notching a number of streaming hits and landing a deal with Gucci Mane’s New 1017 label.

• Pooh Shiesty grew up in South Memphis. His father founded the local label Mob Ties Records and rapped under the alias Mob Boss.
• After Gucci Mane saw Pooh's video for 2020’s “Main Slime,” he messaged him on Instagram and eventually signed the newcomer to his New 1017 label.
• “Monday to Sunday,” a 2020 collaboration between Pooh, BIG30, and Lil Baby, became a massive streaming hit. So did Pooh’s Lil Durk team-up “Back in Blood,” released later that year.
• The rapper’s rise hasn’t been without controversy. He was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and theft following a 2020 shootout in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida."
